I found where a class in California is using blogs. They not only have pictures of students but they also have homework and example problems. They are using their blog to further their understanding of the subject matter. Like one of the post is about problem solving in math. This blog seems to updates everyday by the teacher. And the teacher said what she liked about blogs is that she was in control.
I also found a teacher names Joshua Livingston who is using blogs in Boston. He is an English teacher and he is using the post to have the students comment on articles in the newspaper. Not only is this teacher expanding the knowledge of the students he is having them talk about current affairs which is left out a lot in the schools today.
http://www.classblogmeister.com/blog.php?blogger_id=84293&blog_id=&listclass=11580 This the website I found both of the blogs but in different states.
Blogs are being used all the around the United States. The use of these online resources is steadily growing. Me personally I think that is a great way for students who are absent to make up their homework and to look what we did today and not fall behind. But blogs are not the only resource teacher’s use in technology. Teachers in the United States are using computers for many things
Examples of this would be they are using them for classroom roll, grading systems. Technology is taking a lot of the hours and hours of work off for teachers. Now what took several hours takes only a few minutes to an hour. Teachers are also using computers as learning centers for the students. Computers are being use for the students to go about learning in a different manner, by computer games, being read to while reading, etc.
